Member: Rodney McNabb, USMC

Rodney McNabb is a 7 year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He started his career in the infantry (mortarman) with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines in Camp Lejeune, NC. Upon re-enlistment, he transferred to Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA.
Since his honorable discharge in 1992, he has been involved in the landscape industry. The first 13 years as a landscape contractor, and the last 16 as the founder and President of Evergreen Design Group. Evergreen Design Group is a Landscape Architectural firm that designs projects all over the U.S. His clients include Architects, Civil Engineers, Land Developers, Business Owners, Construction Managers, General Contractors, and yes, even Landscape Contractors. They focus on land planning, planting and irrigation designs, hardscape designs, and a whole slew of different types of easily understandable graphics that have instant emotional impact for public meetings, jurisdictional approvals, marketing collateral, sales presentations, job site signage, or benefit fundraising events.
While not a Landscape Architect himself, he currently oversees 9 Landscape Architects and 1 Irrigation Consultant. What he tells prospective clients is that when they hire Evergreen Design Group, they are hiring not only professional, well-qualified Landscape Architects to design the project, but also a former landscape contractor who places his eyes on each of the projects they design. He views these designs from a landscape contractor’s perspective. For example: Is there a way we can achieve this same look and feel, but in a different way that will reduce construction and/or maintenance costs for the client?
Evergreen Design Groups Landscape Architects are currently registered (and design projects) in over 35 states. Rodney is responsible for all of the business development, project management, along with leading the company through its tremendous growth.
