Member: Scott Chesson, USNA ’84

Scott Chesson founded CFO 4Vets in 2020. CFO 4Vets provides fractional CFO consulting for small, growing businesses in need of senior financial leadership on a part-time basis. He aspires to work exclusively on veteran-owned businesses.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Math from USNA in 1984. After serving for six years as a Surface Warfare Officer, Scott graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Master of Accounting. He previously completed a BSBA from Chapman University while still on active duty.
Since graduate school, Scott worked in finance and operations for eight different businesses including stints early in his career at both IBM and American Airlines.
Scott was a CFO/COO for the last 21 years of his business career. He has diverse experience having worked for privately owned, private equity owned and publicly traded businesses.
