Member: Ben Pittard, USNA ’05
Company: Trident Logistics
Ben Pittard founded Trident Logistics, LLC in 2019. Trident is a third-party logistics provider based in Charleston, South Carolina. As freight brokers, he and his teammates source domestic trucking capacity to meet customer freight demand. Trident also assists customers with warehouse procurement and distribution operations, intermodal transport of goods, and even direct-to-customer delivery.
Before starting his own company, Ben was an Operations and Risk Management Executive at Automotive Management Services, Inc., the largest privately owned automotive dealership group in the United States, based in West Palm Beach, Florida. While at AMSI, Ben co-founded Flex Plus, LLC, a floorplan finance company for independent automotive dealers and wholesalers. Prior to his career in automotive retail, Ben was a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs and Co. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ben earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005. While at Navy, he was a first-team All-American and Co-Captain of the men’s rugby team. After six years of service as a SEAL Officer, Ben returned to school and graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 with a Master of Business Administration degree.
